Edition Project: The Linguistic Works of Wilhelm von Humboldt
The mission of the project is the creation of an historical-critical edition of the linguistic writings of Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767–1835). The edition will include Humboldt’s non- linguistic texts dealing with anthropological, aesthetic, literary, and philosophical issues which form the basis for his linguistic work and will also contain his scholarly correspondence as it illuminates and supplements his linguistic work.
