The workshop aims at discussing international standards in academic lexicography in times of rapidly changing conditions of production and reception. We further want to explore how a dictionary could benefit from collaboration with its users. How can modern technologies be used to involve the public into the dictionary making process? Integrating users' comments may speed up lexicographic work and contribute to a wider public recognition of a dictionary. Concerning technologies and staff, what are the consequences of this type of user involvement, which a number of projects have already implemented sucessfully?
