Symposium | 12 September 2022 | 9:00 - 18:00 Uhr | Akademiegebäude am Gendarmenmarkt, Leibniz-Saal, Markgrafenstraße 38, 10117 Berlin
Understanding the brain requires exchange across disciplines. This scientific symposium covers latest insights into neuroscientific research, ranging from optogenetics, a computational role of mitochondria to the bio-inspired design of neuromorphic chips. Bringing together researchers from many branches of neuroscience, we will inquire into principles of neural computation from dinosaurs to humans.
With Axel Borst (Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence, Munich), Peter Hegemann (member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities; Humboldt University of Berlin), Suzana Herculano-Houzel (Vanderbilt University, US), Tim Vogels (Institute of Science and Technology – Austria) and Susanne Schreiber (Humboldt University of Berlin).
An event of the “Independent research groups in the neurosciences” (BMBF) in cooperation with the biennial theme 2021|22 “Measuring the Living” of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities
Das Symposium findet in englischer Sprache statt.
